Abstract

Organizational commitment is important to every employee, employees with good organizational commitment will have the potential to improve performance both individually, group or organization. This study aims to determine the effect of group cohesiveness and organizational culture on organizational commitment to employees. Subjects in this study as many as 125 employees at PT. Zaman Teknindo Pekanbaru, the technique chosen using cluster random sampling. Data collection methods used three scales: organizational commitment scale of 30 items, group cohesiveness scale of 45 items and organizational culture scale of 40 items. Based on the analysis, it is known that there is influence of group cohesiveness and organizational culture simultaneously to organizational commitment, with coefficient value F = 87,60; p≤0,000. The contribution value given by group cohesiveness and organizational culture as much as 59 percent towards organizational commitment. Based on the analysis it can be concluded that the higher cohesiveness of group and organizational culture will be higher organizational commitment to employees of PT. Zaman Teknindo Pekanbaru.
