Abstract

In this research entitled Path and Literasi for Account Owner study at Student Faculty of Communication Studies. The type of research used in this study is to use qualitative research is a study that describes the path and literacy on the account of students of science communication faculty, the interest of researchers chose this title because the path is a social media that is quite popular among students and also interested to examine the literacy of media usage social path, researchers have five students to be informants. From the research to the informant, the researcher got the result that the literacy that occurs when using social media path is that it is important to filter in accessing social media, this is because students fulfill the characteristic of one of the filtering in using social media path because of control every use, information obtained either shared or received, it can be a good social media user, the application is done by students by following the things they like. With the media lietrasi use of social media path among students is necessary to do is by filtering and analyzing every message received. Critical attitude of media messages consumed can not be also in the speakers. The speakers are more critical of the information that interests them. They do not take it for granted by the media but will find out and compare with other media and the meaning of messages captured from the media. Ability to operate social media is good enough, and actively participate socially through the media although there are still some things that are still lacking so need to be improved again
