Abstract
With the increasing trend of online shopping, the need for a secure, efficient, and real-time monitored package receiving system is becoming increasingly urgent. Many packages are often left in unattended areas, making them vulnerable to theft, damage, or loss. This study aims to design and develop a smart package security and notification device based on the Internet of Things (IoT) that addresses these issues. The system integrates several key components, including the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor to detect incoming packages, a magnetic door sensor to detect physical opening of the box, the DFPlayer Mini to provide local voice notifications when a package is detected, and the ESP32-CAM to capture images based on user commands. The system is controlled by an ESP8266 microcontroller connected to a Wi-Fi network and communicates directly with the Telegram application to provide real-time notifications. When the HC-SR04 detects a package within a specified distance, the system sends a notification to Telegram and plays an audio alert using the DFPlayer Mini. If unauthorized access is detected by the magnetic door sensor, a warning notification is also sent. Additionally, users can send a specific command such as /photo via Telegram to activate the ESP32-CAM and receive a real-time image of the package condition. All activities and alerts are recorded for monitoring and audit purposes. The implementation results demonstrate that the system functions automatically and accurately while delivering timely alerts to users. The integration of hardware and Telegram-based communication allows users to monitor and control package conditions remotely without physical presence. This system is expected to be an effective solution in improving package security and convenience, particularly in environments with limited supervision such as private homes.
