Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between social support and self confidence among students at the Islamic University Riau . The population in this study was all 15,748 students at the islamic University of Riau. The sample size was 390 students. The sampling technique used in this study was simple random sampling . The self coefficient scale, adapted from Dion Paruruk Dekko (2024), The social support scale adapted from Racmat Satria (2023), consists of 40 items. The correlation coeffcient between social support and self- confidence is (r)=0, 116 with a significance value of 0,005 (p< 0,05). This proves a positive and significant relationship between self-confidence and social support among students at the Islamic University of Riau. Therefore, the higher the social support in the student, and the same applies to students at the Islamic University of Riau
