Abstract

Mining, especially in the oil and natural gas sector, is required to pay attention to work safety, especially the dangers that can occur in the form of fire. These hazards can be prevented with a good protection system, often known as a fire extinguishing system or fire pump. In the IoT, various technologies such as ultrasonic sensors, flame sensors, blynk applications, and other technologies continue to be developed. The IoT has been widely applied in various fields of science and industry including informatics, as has been proven in several studies. To overcome the fire, a Prototype of Automatic Control and Monitoring of Fire Pump based on the IoT was created. This system is based on the IoT with the blynk platform. This prototype can start the fire pump engine remotely, so as to minimize the delay in starting the fire pump engine. By utilizing the IoT-based Fire Pump Automatic Control and Monitoring Prototype. This system is based on the IoT this solution becomes effective and efficient. Existing sensors will speed up starting the fire pump engine remotely, the fire pump engine can start when the flame sensor detects a fire, and can monitor the oil in the fire pump engine tank in real time.
