Abstract

This type of research is a quantitative approach carried out to determine the effect of promotion and image of the accounting education study program on interest in entering the accounting education major in Accounting Education study program students Batch 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Islamic University of Riau with a total of 50 students. Data collection technique in this case the researcher took a sample of 50 students by distributing questionnaires (questionnaire). The method used is multiple regression analysis. The results of the study showed that: (1) Promotion partially had a positive and significant effect on interest in entering the Accounting Education Department. (2) The image of the Accounting Education Study Program partially has a positive and significant effect on Interest in Entering the Accounting Education Department. (3) Promotion and Image of the Accounting Education Study Program simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on Interest in Entering the Accounting Education Department. (4) The effect of promotion and image of the study program on interest in entering the accounting study program for Accounting Education students at the Islamic University of Riau is 37,8%, while the remaining 62,2% is influenced by other factors not present in this study.
