Abstract
This research aims to find out whether there is a relationship between vocabulary mastery and the ability to read Arabic texts in class X students at the Ummu Sulaim Islamic Boarding School. This type of research is quantitative with a correlational approach. The research sample consisted of 55 class X students at the Ummu Sulaim Islamic Boarding School. The data collection techniques used were tests and documentation, while the data analysis technique used was the Pearson correlation analysis test which was carried out using SPSS version 29. The results of the study showed that the ability to read Arabic texts in class and a relationship was found between vocabulary mastery and the ability to read Arabic texts in these students, which was indicated by a significance value of less than 0.05, namely 0.00 < 0.05. Therefore the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the correlation coefficient value is 0.714. Thus, it can be concluded that this relationship is included in the strong category.
