Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the Department of Education in fostering Early Childhood Education Institutions in PangeanSubdistrictKuntanSingingi Regency (Study of Koto Tinggi Village and Padang Tanggung Village). Assessment indicators for the development of early childhood education institutions that are used include, planning, guidance, direction, and training. This type of research located in Koto Tinggi Village and Padang Tanggung Village is qualitative descriptive, which is collected in the form of words, field notes, interview photos, observations and documentation as a data collection tool, and identi fi ed, in accordance with the research objectives. There were six informants in this study, the Head of the Education Office for Early Childhood Education, the Head of the Koto Tinggi School, the Head of the Padang Tanggung School, Koto Tinggi School Teacher, Padang Tanggung School Teacher and Parents of Guardian Students. The type of data collection consists of primary data, secondary data, organizational structure in the field of Early Childhood Education. While the technical analysis of data is clarified with the results of interviews, observation, documentation, data data is processed and analyzed to describe the objectives of the study, then compared with theories relating to the title of the researcher to conclude that the role of the Education Agency in the Development of Early Childhood Education Institutions is still less optimal.
