Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of pre-research conducted by the author on marketing strategies in increasing the number of customers at BMT UGT Sidogiri Pekanbaru Branch. Since it was founded in July 2012, BMT UGT Sidogiri has been able to increase the number of its customers from year to year. Therefore the authors are interested in examining the influence of marketing strategies on increasing the number of customers at BMT UGT Sidogiri Pekanbaru. The problem formulation of this research is how the marketing strategy influences the increasing number of customers at BMT UGT Sidogiri Pekanbaru. The research objective was to determine the effect of marketing strategies on increasing the number of customers. The research subject is the Customer at BMT UGT Sidogiri Pekanbaru. While the object in this study is the influence of marketing strategies on increasing the number of BMT UGT Sidogiri Pekanbaru customers. The data sources used in this study are primary data and secondary data. The data collection technique is done by questionnaire and documentation. To analyze the data used a simple linear data regression method where the calculation uses the SPSS for Windows Version 17.0 application. The sample of this study was 86 people. The results of this study note that the effect of marketing strategies on increasing the number of customers has a fairly strong relationship, it is known from the correlation coefficient value of 0.715. While the partial test results have a significant effect between the effect of marketing strategies on increasing the number of customers of BMT UGT Sidogiri Pekanbaru, it is known from the value of t count (9.336) greater than t table (1.99). This means that partially it can be seen that (the influence of marketing strategies) affects (increase in the number of customers).
