Abstract

ABSTRACT Hydrocarbon transportation is the main stream used in the distribution of petroleum, which is almost currently used throughout the world. This hydrocarbon transportation has advantages and disadvantages from corrosion problems, illegal tapping, leakage and other damage. The problems that arise can result in a decrease in the amount of fluid flow and have an impact on company losses. In these various problems, there are those that arise from the pipeline or the fluid. Therefore, one way to prevent damage is to use the pressure monitoring method which can detect damage or leaks from the pipeline by routinely monitoring the incoming pressure from CGS to the pipeline with the pressure monitoring method by looking at the normal range of each pipeline under certain conditions. This can make it easier for operators to detect damage early if the fluid pressure is not in accordance with the normal pressure range value. Minor damage or small leaks are quickly addressed so as not to cause more and bigger problems, where any damage can be detrimental to the company.
