Abstract

The researcher analyzed this research entitled An Analysis of English Indonesian Code Mixing Used by Sandiaga UnoSpeech in Youtub to know how Sandiaga Uno used code mixing in his speech video. The aims of this research are to find out the form of English Indonesian code mixing in speech video and to find out the function of English – Indonesian code mixing used by sandiaga uno in speech video. The research was conducted with a Descriptive Qualitative Method. The researcher got the source of the data from The speech video about motivating young entrepreneur uploaded by CXO Media channel in December 24th 2020, the duration of video is fifty one minutes and four seconds, with title “NSS Ep18 - Sandiaga Uno: Mahasiswa Lulusan Terbaik Sampai Pernah Jadi Cover Boy� in Youtube. In this research, the researcher used documentation as the instrument based on the speech video. The final result of this research, the researcher found 146 code mixing, such as: code mixing of Word 47 data, code mixing of Phrase 43 data, code mixing of Hybrid 6 data, code mixing of Word Reduplication 7 data, code mixing of Idiom 12 data, code mixing of Clause 31 data. The researcher dicoverd some useful functions of code mixing that Sandiaga Uno uses. They are: need feeling motive, being more informative, and expressing self emotion.
