Abstract

Perawang-Siak Road is one of the provincial roads in Riau Province, which is one of the connecting roads between Regencies/Cities in Riau Province. The current condition of the road is damaged which can hamper the economic activities of the people who cross this road. Assessment of road surface conditions is one of the stages to determine the type of evaluation program that needs to be carried out. The method used is field research with primary data in the form of road damage survey results. The priority order of road handling using the PCI method ranks pavement conditions from 0 to 100, while the Bina Marga method is based on a range of values from 0 to more than 7. The results of the field survey, the types of damage found on the Perawang–Siak road, STA 38+000 to STA 40+000, namely: Alligator Crack, Longituginal and Transverse Crack, Patching and Utility Cut, Potholes, and Shoving. The results of this research analysis indicate that the road conditions using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method and the Bina Marga method on Jalan Perawang-Siak STA 38+000 to STA 40+000. The average PCI method road condition value is 50, so it has a FAIR condition or goes into additional patches and layers. Furthermore, the road condition value obtained by the Highways method with an average value of 7 or entered into Routine Maintenance The results of the study using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method, the percentage of road repairs was obtained as follows. 30% of road repairs are in the form of Reconstruction, then 45% of road repairs are in the form of Patches and Additional Layers, and 25% of road repairs are in the form of Routine Maintenance. Meanwhile, by using the Bina Marga method, the percentage of repair priority sequences is as follows, 65% Routine Maintenance, and 35% Periodic Maintenance, and there is no Road Condition Improvement.
