Abstract

The development of traditional markets and modern markets have become an inseparable part in the lives of urban communities, especially in Pekanbaru. The development of modern markets has resulted in the existence of traditional markets in Pekanbaru being increasingly marginalized because of the poor condition of traditional markets. So there needs to be an analysis of the level of community satisfaction with traditional market services. The purpose of the study is to measure the level of community satisfaction with traditional market services in Pekanbaru. The benefits of this research are as a material of science to the government regarding the level of community satisfaction with traditional markets to be better. This research uses qualitative and quantitative methods (metode campuran). Qualitative and quantitative methods are used to identify the characteristics of traditional markets, identify patterns of distribution of traditional markets by using nearest neighbour analysis (analisis tetangga terdekat) , identify factors that influence traditional markets using confrimatory factor analysis (CFA) and identify the level of community satisfaction with traditional markets using Customer Satisfaction Index((CSI) analysis and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Based on the analysis, the characteristics of traditional markets are 4 (four) markets that are in poor condition including Agussalim Market, Cikpuan Market, Palapa Market, and Tengku Kasim Market. The results of the nearest neighbor analysis (nearest neighbor analysis) of the distribution pattern of the Pekanbaru traditional market are clustered. The results of the CFA (confrimatory factor analysis) analysis of factors affecting the traditional market in Pekanbaru indicate that there are factors that affect infrastructure, services, prices and goods and location. The results of CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) analysis show that the average level of community satisfaction in the Pekanbaru traditional market for facilities and infrastructure is 56.90% (quite satisfied), servants 67.04% (quite satisfied), prices and goods 73.59% (satisfied ) and location 69.99% (satisfied). The results of the IPA (Importance Performance Analysis) analysis are that there are levels of traditional market services in Pekanbaru that must be improved, namely garbage, standing water, parking lots, toilets, stalls, drainage networks, sanitation networks, road networks, service availability, landfills, and parking location services
