Abstract

The Environment and Forestry Service of Riau Province uses WLAN network technology as an internet access service for its employees, the large number of users and no research on WLAN network services have caused problems and network disturbances at the Environment and Forestry Office of Riau Province. The purpose of this study is to obtain the parameter values of delay, packet loss, throughput and jitter that affect the performance of the WLAN network, to determine the status of the assessment of the performance of the WLAN network using the TIPHON standard to measure the performance of the existing WLAN network in the Environment and Forestry Service of Riau Province and obtain quality standards for existing networks. The results of the WLAN network test based on the TIPHON standard, the index value for the delay parameter is 8.85 ms in the "Very Good" category, the packet loss parameter is 0.025% in the "Very Good" category, the throughput parameter is 1018.37 Kbps in the "Enough" category. , the jitter parameter is 8.95 ms with the "Good" category.
