Abstract

This study is motivated by the symptoms of students’ activeness in the learning process; some students rarely give responses to problems that arise in the learning process of Islamic studies, some students rarely ask even though there are opportunities to ask questions, some students do not do homework, and the lack of student attention in the learning process of islamic studies makes the classroom become noisy. The formulation of problem in this study is: is there an influence of learning readiness on students’ activeness in the learning process of Islamic studies at SMP N 1 Tapung Hulu Kampar Regency. This study aims to investigate the influence of learning readiness on students’ activeness in the learning process of Islamic studies at SMP N 1 Tapung Hulu, Kampar Regency. The subject of this study is students in class VIII at SMP N 1 Tapung Hulu, Kampar Regency. The population and sample of this study are all students of class VIII at SMP N 1 Tapung Hulu in Kampar Regency as many as 52 people. This study consists of two variables, namely the variable X (Learning Readiness) and the variable Y (Student Activeness). The data correlation analysis method used in this study is a Simple Regression Test. Based on the results of a simple regression analysis, a significance value is less than 0.05 that is 0.000 <0.05, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, it means that there is an influence of learning readiness on students’ activeness in the learning process of islamic studies at SMP N 1 Tapung Hulu, Kampar Regency. The magnitude of the level of influence between variable X (Learning Readiness) and variable Y (Students’ Activeness) is 0.649 located in the range of value 0.60-0.799, and it is involved in the level of strong influence, while 35.1% of students’ activeness is influenced by other unexamined variables. It conclusion, there is an Influence of learning readiness on students’ activeness in learning Islamic studies at SMP N 1 Tapung Hulu Kampar Regency, which is in the category of "strong".
