Abstract

The existence of minimarkets and modern markets in Kuok Subdistrict makes income decrease and buying and selling suffers losses, for traditional traders the existence of minimarkets and modern markets is a type of market termite that harms, they damage the most real populist economic order. This is because there are similarities of products sold in minimarkets and modern markets with those sold in traditional markets so that many buyers prefer to shop in minimarkets and modern markets compared to traditional markets. Moreover, since the covid-19 pandemic and the enactment of PPKM, economic conditions continue to decline and far from prosperous. The phenomenon shows the lack of psychological welfare dimensions in traditional market traders in Kuok Market, Kuok District, Kampar Regency. This penelitian is to find out if there is a relationship between positive thinking and psychological well-being in traditional market traders in Kuok Market Kuok District Kampar District. The subjects of this study amounted to 63 traditional market traders in Kuok Market, Kuok District, Kampar Regency. The sample collection technique used is a total sampling technique. The method of taking the psychological well-being scale was adapted from the research of Intan Kasih (2019) with a total of 42 aitem questions. And the positive thinking scale was adapted from Awaludin Ahya's research with a total of 22 aitem statements. The analysis method used is nonparametric correlation. Based on the results of the correlation test between positive thinking and psychological well-being obtained the correlation coephaceian value (r) = 0.576 greater than 0.05 and significance value 0.003 (p <0.05). This shows there is a significant positive relationship between positive thinking with Psychological well-being, the higher the positive thinking, the higher the Psychological well-being in market traders Kuok District Kuok Kampar Regency.
