Abstract

Melengo Bridge Siak Regency is a bridge located in Kampung Tengah District of Mempura. This bridge type of Arch Taper Box Steel Frame structure with a span length of 75m and span width of 8.5m, was built with the main purpose to support the tourism area in Siak Regency. This research was conducted to determine the behavior of the bridge based on the results of static loading testing with the analysis of the bridge structure and to determine the remaining capacity of the bridge itself. Measurement of strain, stress and deflection on the bridge due to the configuration of the truck load is analyzed to evaluate the behavior of the load distribution of vehicles passing through the bridge. Static loading is done by placing several trucks whose dimensions and loads are measured according to the specified loading combination. This research is also to get the magnitude of the moment of the field that occurs in the middle of the spans and moments on the bridge support. Based on the static load test results on the Melengo bridge structure, it can be concluded that (1) the maximum actual stress occurs is -31.6 MPa when the combination of loading 3 trucks (45 tons load) on the Edge Beam structure, the footing area is smaller than the value of the steel permit fatigue stress 305.02 MPa. Deflection on the bridge based on testing increased by -11.81 mm (on reading LVDT) while permit deflection was 66000/800 = 82.50 mm, then deflection that occurred during testing was still in the safe category, but if deflection during testing was added with deflection which has occurred before testing (an average of 118.5 mm) to 130.31 mm so that the deflection that occurs exceeds the deflection of the applicable license. (2) Melengo Bridge Behavior based on the results of analysis of observations, among others, the actual stress of -31.6 Mpa is greater than the analysis voltage of -12.64 Mpa, the actual deflection of -11.81 mm is greater than the analysis deflection of -5 , 33 MPa and the actual displacement of 15 mm is greater than the analysis displacement of 3.98 mm. Overview of Stress, Deflection and Displacement is greater than the value of Stress, Deflection and Displacement based on the analysis of structure analysis, this shows that the condition of the bridge is not good and (3) the remaining capacity of the bridge structure is 122 tons or 43% of the lane load of 284 Ton.
