Abstract
Research on the application of accounting was carried out in Bangkinang as many as 14 motorcycle repair shop entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, the problem examined in this study is whether the accounting applied by motorbike repair shop entrepreneurs in Bangkinang is in accordance with the application of basic accounting concepts. The purpose of carrying out this research is to determine the suitability of accounting applications carried out by entrepreneurs with basic accounting concepts. The data collected in this research are primary and secondary. In completing this research, the researcher used a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in the form of structured interviews, documentation, and observation. Furthermore, the data that has been collected are grouped by type. Based on the research that has been carried out and the discussion, it can be concluded that the application of accounting in the motorbike repair business in Bangkinang is not in accordance with the basic concepts and accounting principles currently applicable.
