Abstract
Trigona, known as a stingless bee, belongs to the Apidae family that lives socially, this bee has an important role as a pollinating agent. The purpose of the research is to obtain information about how Trigona's activities are. itama and see its role as one of the pollination agents. This study uses an exploration method, which is by observing the foraging behavior of the introduced T. itama bee, this observation is carried out around the nest and the orchard area of the Sinar Mas Forestri company. Activity T. Itama flies leaving the nest visible at 6:35, the peak of antivity is seen at 07:30 until 10:30 in the morning, after the weather starts to heat the activity begins to decrease, bee activity starts to look more active again at 14:30 until 16:30, at the morning of the bees more active visiting flowers to collect pollen and nectar, in the afternoon the activity of bees looking for more resin when compared to the morning The results of observing trigona activity to collect food in the form of pollen, nectar and resin were found there were 27 types of plants consisting of fruit trees, flowers, forestry plants and grasses. The ability of bees as pollinator agents can be seen from the number of plants visited and the innate results of pollen and nectar collected in hive toppings as a source of food reserves for bees.
