Abstract

Poetry by Marhalim Zaini entitled Solilokui Para Penunggu Hutan, the researcher found the use of various language styles found in the Compass Poetry Collection. Kompas is a national news and information media headquartered in Jakarta. The problem of this research is how the language style contained in the poetry Marhalim Zaini. The purpose of this study is to describe in detail about the style of language in the poetry by Marhalim Zaini. The theory used in this study is the theory presented by Pradopo (2010) as well as the theories that are relevant to this research issue. Language style aims to determine the literary content of the work in question. The method used in this research is descriptive method, descriptive method is a problem solving procedure carried out by describing the situation in the research based on facts. The scope of the research is included in the scope of literary works. The limitation of this research problem is hyperbole language style, personification language style, and aposprof language style. Based on the results of the research and data analysis, the writer can conclude about the analysis of language style in Marhalim Zaini's poetry, namely the language styles used in this poem are very diverse. The language style that the writer studied was found in the poem, namely hyperbole language style, personification language style, and aposprof language style. The language style that is most widely used in Marhalim Zaini's poetry is the personified language style.
