Abstract
Entrepreneurial Intention (interest) is the degree of willingness or intention of a person to take a business action and create new business opportunities. In increasing interest in entrepreneurship, there are several factors, one of which is risk taking behavior. Risk Taking Behavior is the degree of a person's ability to behave and take risks in risky situations, where this situation has an impact on high uncertainty and has the possibility of loss. Currently, Indonesia is entering the industrial revolution 4.0. The industrial revolution 4.0 is an era where everything is related to the world of technology. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between risk taking behavior and entrepreneurial intentions in vocational students in Pekanbaru City in facing the industrial revolution 4.0. The subjects of this research were the students of the Integrated Agriculture Vocational School of Riau Province and the SMKN 4 Pekanbaru, which totaled 100 students. The sampling method used is cluster random sampling. The data collection method used is a risk-taking behavior scale of 14 items and an entrepreneurial intention scale of 15 items which were compiled by the researcher himself. The correlation analysis used is person product moment with a value of r=0.324 and a significant value of 0.001 (p<0.05) which states that there is a significant relationship between risk taking behavior and entrepreneurial intentions in SMK students in Pekanbaru City in facing the industrial revolution 4.0.
