Pengaruh Ukuran Potongan Plastik Hdpe Terhadap Karakteristik Marshall Campuran Laston AC-WC Menggunakan Filler Semen Portland.
Other thesis, Universitas Islam Riau.
Abstract
This research was conducted by mining the impact of adding high density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic in the AC-WC laston mixture using Portland cement filler in terms of Marshall material. The addition of polymers usually increases the strength of the asphalt. Increasing the strength of the asphalt will increase the resistance of the mixture to rutting from temperature and hot weather. From the analysis, it was found that the optimal asphalt content value that meets the criteria for the asphalt mixture criteria according to the 2010 revision III of Bina Marga specification is 6%. The addition of High Density Polythylene (HDPE) plastic to the asphalt mixture, namely laston AC-WC with a cutting size of 0.4 cm; 1 cm; 2 cm; 4 cm from the weight of the asphalt used. From each AC-WC laston asphalt sample, the proportion of High Density Polythylene (HDPE) plastic and Portland cement filler used was 3% of the total weight of the asphalt sample. From the test results and Marshall analysis, the addition of PET to the last asphalt mixture was at high stability values. The greatest balance value is the 1 cm plastic piece. Marshall parameters such as VMA, MQ and Flow meet the requirements of the 2010 Bina Marga Specifications. Meanwhile, VIM and VFA tend not to meet the specification requirements.
