Abstract
Dance Parade is an annual agenda held by the Pekanbaru City Culture and Tourism Office which is a selection stage towards the Riau Province Dance Parade. The 2019 Dance Parade in its implementation was packaged in a systematic, planned, and structured manner in terms of workable themes, concepts, technical implementation, and number of participants. This is what underlies the researchers to examine the 2019 Dance Parade. The Dance Parade held at SKA Co Ex on April 4, 2019, is an event that has been eagerly awaited by the artists because the Dance Parade always presents a quality and attractive performance for the audience, then from that the management needs to manage the Dance Parade. The formulation of the problem raised was: How is the Management of the Pekanbaru City Dance Parade in 2019 Pekanbaru City Culture and Tourism Office. Dance Parade Management uses the theory of George R Terry (in Yusup M. Pawit 2012: 11). The method used is Descriptive Analysis using qualitative data that is data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques such as data reduction, data display, and conclusion making. The results of this study are that the Dance Parade management has a long process that is 1 year before the dance parade is held, the steps in the management of the Dance Parade are: planning making budget estimates, determining themes and concepts, place of activities, prize winners, and other needs, organizing (organizing) to form a committee structure and division of tasks, actuating remind all members of the committee of their respective duties and responsibilities, controlling controlling and supervising every work carried out by committee members.
