Abstract
Pareto distribution law is a decision making technique that aims to find changes that will provide the greatest benefit for decision makers. This technique is useful in conditions where there are a number of alternative solutions and actions that might be selected. Not only does pareto analysis give us an idea of the most important problem to be solved, but the technique also gives a number of values that show how big or severe the problem is. The purpose of this research is to determine the structure of work items that are close to the concept of the Pareto distribution law. Knowing the comparison of the results of Breakdown Cost by using the Pareto distribution law against construction projects in the new week. The study uses the Breakdown Cost method and the Pareto Distribution Law. The result of the research is that the work approaching the legal concept of pareto distribution for low-rise buildings is UIN Suska Riau Lecture Building with the overall cost of structural work of Rp 8,381,065,843.14 and for high-rise Santa Maria Hospital Building with the total cost of structural work of Rp 2,779,793,684 .00. In the analysis for low-rise buildings and high-rise buildings, it is found that the greater the cost of building low-rise building construction projects, the closer to the concept of the Pareto distribution law. Conversely, the greater the value of construction projects in high-rise buildings the more away from the concept of Pareto law. To compare construction projects in the city of Pekanbaru can be seen from the items of work carried out on building construction projects. The higher the building is being worked on, the more work items are compared to low-rise buildings.
