Abstract
Rangsang Barat sub-district has 16 villages and wards, there are lots of tourism places in the villages in Rangsang Barat sub-district, one of which is Permai village. Permai Village has a beach tourism object called Motong Beach. The beauty of the Malacca Strait sea can be enjoyed but there are various problems such as the lack of an increase in the tourism component such as an underdeveloped attraction as seen from the dirty condition of the beach because it is not taken care of by the beach manager and the amount of garbage around the beach, the available facilities are inadequate such as parking lots which are limited, public toilets that are not clean and accessibility that is not supportive, such as the absence of a guide for tourists outside the area to go to the Motong beach tourist attraction and the lack of good roads, making the beach crowded when visited only on national holidays. Based on the description above, there is an interest in identifying the components in the Motong Beach tourist attraction in Permai Village. The purpose of this study was to identify the components of Motong Beach tourism, Permai Village, Rangsang Barat District, Meranti Islands Regency. The data sources are divided into two data sources, namely primary data obtained from questionnaires and secondary data obtained from journals, previous research and books related to tourism. The method used in this paper is a quantitative descriptive method. Descriptive analysis method through literature study with data measured in a numeric scale (numbers) using a Likert scale. The results of the study show that the components of tourism attraction found in Motong Beach based on the results of the Linkert scale of the attraction components, namely 78.8% are included in the good category, the accessibility component is 64.7% included in the sufficient category, the facility component is 54.6% included in the sufficient category, the additional service component is 48.3%, % is included in the poor category.
