Abstract
Ports in their activities have an important and strategic role to encourage / social mobilize and measure the growth of industry and trade as well as a business segment that can contribute to national and regional development. The development of the port area must be efficient. An efficient port is a prerequisite for the economic development of a region. In carrying out port development, the Transportation Agency coordinates with the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office in the field of technical management of development activities. However, in reality the physical development that had been planned in the planning for the construction of the local feeder port in Rokan Hilir Regency was not carried out properly, as seen from the incomplete construction of the Sinaboi port where the boat mooring port type 2019 and the Pinang river port with the 2019 boat port type. This research is to know and analyze the implementation of the local feeder port development at the Transportation Agency by the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency in Rokan Hilir Regency. The type of research used in this research is descriptive survey with quantitative methods. The number of population and samples used in the study amounted to 18 people using the census technique consisting of the Transportation Agency and the PUPR Office of Rokan Hilir Regency. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and descriptive data analysis. This study concludes that the implementation of the Local Feeder Port Development of the Transportation Agency by the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of Rokan Hilir Regency has not yet been implemented, based on communication and resource indicators. This is evidenced by the absence of a port to date in Rokan Hilir Regency.
