Abstract
This study was conducted to determine student’s perseption SMA N 1 and SMA N 2 Sungai Apit of mangrove forest conservation. This research used survey method and accumulation the data using questionnaire, observation and interview. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling. This research used 79 sampling, which taken from students SMA N 1 and SMA N 2 Sungai Apit. Questionnaire consists of 41 items distributed, consists of 3 indicators that are validated construct and empirically. Then the research results obtained from the 3 indicators are as follows: The highest indicator found in the indicator of student attitudes for mangrove forest ecosystem is categorized as not good with 84,2%. The lowest indicator is found in the indicator of student participation mangrove forest management is categorized as not good with 81,7%, and indicator of student understanding of the mangrove forest are categorized as not good with 83,2%. According to the number above can concluded the average of score of student 83,03% which reached not good level.
