Abstract
Google Classroom Application Analysis on The Effectiveness of Class XI IPS Online-Based Economic Learning Process during the Covid-19 Pandemic at SMA Negeri 2 Siak Hulu NOVIA DWIKE PUTRI 166810068 Abstract The purpose of this research is to find out how effective the economic learning process of class XI IPS is based online using google classroom application during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMA Negeri 2 Siak Hulu. The methodology used in this research is a mixed method or often referred to as mixed method. Implementing this mixed method research by combining quantitative and qualitative research methods. The type of mixed research in this study uses Sekuensial Exoplanatorist strategy. The number of population in the study using quantitative methods amounted to 118 students with a sample of 30 learners. Qualitative research method was obtained through the interview of two teachers of economics subjects class XI IPS as informants who are considered capable of provide real information. The interview used is a type of interview that is managed using interview guidelines. Data collection techniques in quantitative research using questionnaires processed using SPSS V 16.0 for windows. Quantitative data analysis uses descriptive quantitative analysis and linear regression analysis. Qualitative data analysis is done interactively and perform analysis simultaneously. There are three steps to perform qualitative data analysis, namely condensation data, display data, and verifying. The results of this research using mixed methods are fairly good in accordance with the results of quantitative data of 68.20% which is in the good category and the conclusion of qualitative data obtained from the explanation of two economics teachers where one of them is also the deputy headmaster of student affairs at the school who is still fairly good and can be overcome because it can still be covered by students who are active and cooperative in following the online learning process using the google classroom application. From the conclusions obtained in this study, the author gave advice to the school, especially to teachers who do online learning is expected to provide a little variety in learning so that students are enthusiastic during online learning.
