Abstract
The tourism sector is one type of new industry that plays an important role in the development of an area by increasing income in the region. Alam Mayang Recreation Park is one of the few tourist areas in Pekanbaru City, Riau, which has contributed to the economic development of the surrounding community. In addition, heterogeneous visitors also have an influence on the environmental and social changes of the people who live in the Alam Mayang Recreation Park. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the presence of the Alam Mayang Recreation Park in Tangkerang Timur Village on the social, economic and environmental aspect s of the community. The method used in this research is qualitative and quantitative by using a deductive approach. Data collection techniques in this study used primary and secondary data, obtained through observation, questionnaires and documentation. T he analysis technique used is a Likert scale with research subjects in the East Tangkerang community with a sample of 361 households. The results of this study indicate that the Alam Mayang Recreational Park has an influence on the social, economic and environmental surroundings of the tourist area. In the social aspect, the influence that can be felt by the community in the Tangkerang Timur Village is the opening of employment with a percen tage of 81%, while the lowest percentage is the presence of LGBT around the Alam Mayang Recreation Park by 27.4%. According to respondents' perceptions, the highest influence on economic aspects is the opportunity for people to become entrepreneurs with a percentage of 86% and the lowest percentage is job doubling, which is 73%. Then, the influence of Alam Mayang Recreation Park on the environment according to the respondents' highest perception states that the presence of trees makes the atmosphere cool an d beautiful with a percentage of 87.3% and the lowest is traffic jams due to the presence of Alam Mayang Recreation Park with a percentage of 69%.
