Abstract

The Pangean sub-watershed is located in Kuantan Singingi Regency often cause the floods. Based on the facts this research examines flood exposure level in Pangean sub-watershed Kuantan Singingi regency. This research used overlay method, descriptive, and quantitative analysis, and Logical Framework Analysis (LFA). The required data such as primary and secondary data in the form of topographic data, slopes, rainfalls data, soil type and land use that exist in Pangean sub-watershed. The results of this research were flood exposure level in the Pangean Sub-watershed that has classified into 3 class there were low, moderate, and high class. The low class of exporse of flooding included an area of 4.862,40 Ha or 14,56% from Pangean sub-watershed area, while the low flood exporse level an area of 23.923,22 Ha or 71,64 % from Pangean sub-watershed area, and the high class flood exporse level an area of 4.609,93 Ha or 13,80% from Pangean sub-watershed area. This results show the flood exposure of Pangean that can be used as a guidelime to flood management in Pangean Sub-watershed. The concept are; a) Wind-water break / buffer zone and community based on forest management. b) While the settlement area with the concept of drainage system to drain watersurface that is not absorbed into the soil, and use the cement floor type pervious that has pores to absorb water. c) While the farm area uses the building up paddy fields with a rice field system with a box of irrigated paddy fields.
