Abstract

Smartphones have brought many changes in behavior patterns, especially among young people and society. Individuals have their own world and they have far more individual interaction with smartphones than the surrounding environment. Individuals also ignore other people's conversations because they focus more on smartphones. This behavior is called phubbing behavior. This study aims to find out the picture of phubbing behavior in students in pekanbaru city thesis at the time of pandemic. The subjects in the study were 2 women and men who fit the criteria. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods, namely interviews and observations with coding. The results of this study showed that the two subjects experienced different behavioral impacts.
