Abstract
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, all students or teenagers are given a policy to study at home online or online. However, teenagers are still confused how to use online learning media that is very much different from how to learn directly in school. Parenting patterns can also influence learning motivation so that teenagers can perceive their parents in guiding, educating, and directing the youth so that the desired learning goals are achieved. This study aims to find out the relationship between perception of foster patterns and motivation of adolescent learning in Pekanbaru City. This research is quantitative correlation research. The motivation of learning and perception of adolescent parenting patterns in this study measured the likert scale of each aspect put forward by Hanafiah and Suhada (2012) and Baumrind (in Damon &Lerner, 2006). The population of this study is all teenagers in Pekanbaru City which amounts to 182 people. Data analysis techniques use correlation statistics with portrait data analysis techniques. The results showed that the level of learning motivation and perception of adolescent parenting patterns in Pekanbaru city was classified in the moderate category as many as 74 people from 182 adolescents or 40.66% and 82 people from 182 adolescents or 45.05%.
