Abstract

The problem of collapsing over soft soil is caused by small carrying capacity and excessive reduction. in the period 2006 to 2010, PUSJATAN has developed various innovations to solve problems in weak soil. One of the weak soil handling technologies is the use of foamed mortar material as heap material for road In the construction of fly over SKA, Foamed mortar is used as substitute for soil in heap of oprit. Foamed mortar is a mixture of cement, sand, water and foam agent. The material must be able to make foamed mortar reach the plane strength and not add its own weight. This research will examine the use of sand on foamed mortar. The sand that will be used in this research is river sand, sea sand and land sand, with a percentage of sand on 15%, 20% and 25%. This research was conducted based on journals, books, and specifications used on foamed mortar. Mixed planning method uses trial and error methods. The research was conducted at the SKA Fly Over construction project and the Civil Engineering Laboratory of the Islamic University of Riau Based on the results of the research at a percentage of 15% for 7 days the highest compressive strength of foamed mortar was obtained on river sand, while for the age of 14 days and 21 days the highest compressive strength was obtained on sea sand. At the percentage of 20% for the age of 7 days, 14 days and 21 days the highest average compressive strength was obtained on sea sand. At the percentage of 25% the highest compressive strength was obtained on sea sand for the age of samples of 7 days, 14 days and 21 days. The use of various types of sand affected, the proportion of foamed mortar mixture, the weight of foamed mortar mixture, the results of unconfined compressive strength, and the unit weight analysis of foamed mortar. Factors influencing the results of the unconfined compressive strength test of foamed mortar are the levels of sludge in the sand, the percentage of sand use and the age of foam mortar.
