Abstract

Waste time problems at construction projects are caused by waste material, so the project can't work optimally. Waste time at project execution usually happened so that caused loss at the project implementation. The purpose of this research is to know the variable factor that causes waste time and the waste factor that can make waste happen in the schedule on a project at Pekanbaru and to determine the highest and lowest value from 10 top variables. This research uses the qualitative method by using questioner which distributed to professionals randomly. The result from questioner is an analysis using the SPSS software 21 version. From this research are found waste factor which can cause waste to schedule performance in a construction project at Pekanbaru as many as 7 variables and 35 indicators. The highest to the lowest order of 10 indicators is human resource, management, materials, project implementation, external, design and document, and waiting time. Waste construction happens caused by lack of coordination and communication with a value of 0.621 or 62% and the lowest value is from planning time and delivery schedule of material with a value 0.141 or 14.1%.
