Abstract

The study was conducted in August - September 2018 at the Laboratory of Microalgae, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of leachate utilization on the abundance of Chlorella sp, find the concentration of leachate waste for the abundance of Chlorella sp, and see the relationship of abundance of microalgae Chlorella sp with the availability of nutrients (N and P) contained in leachate waste. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design (RAL) method with treatment of leachate waste as much as 5 levels, namely P1 (5%), P2 (10%), P3 (15%), P4 (20%) and P5 (25 %) with 3 replications. The highest Chlorella sp abundance is 11,300,000 cells / ml with leachate waste concentration of (5%). While the lowest abundance in treatment P5 with a dose (25%) was 3,966,667 cells / ml. In addition, P1 also produces the highest biomass production (0.4374 g / L), when compared to other treatments. Environmental parameters in the form of temperature on culture media ranged from 27-30 oC and pH ranged from 6-8.
