Abstract

Increased income affects the ability of the community in efforts to improve nutrition because the level of income is very influential towards farmer's household expenditure. This research aims to analyze the characteristics of catfish farmers in Coastal Trees, analyze the structure of income and expenditure of household catfish farmers in Kecamata Rumbai Pesisir Kota Pekanbaru and analyze the factors that are affect the expenditure of catfish households in the Rumbai Pesisir District Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted in the District of Rumbai Pesisir Kota Pekanbaru, namely in the village of Damai Dam, Lembah Sari, Limbungan, new Limbungan, Meranti Pandak, Tebing Tinggi Okura. This research was conducted on the month September 2018 to February 2019. The method used in the study this is a survey method, farmers' samples are taken intentionally (randomly) sampling) of 48 samples. The results of the research are characteristics of household samples catfish farmers in the District of Rumbai Pesisir Kota Pekanbaru like the age of farmers catfish in the general productive age, the level of education of catfish farmers with an average of 10 years (not graduating from high school), the average number of members of the farmer family catfish with an average of 5 years, experience of 9 years catfish farming. The broad average catfish farmer's pool is 339.46 M². Average income farming is Rp. 57,350,833 / year and non-farm income of Rp. 1,650,000 / year. The average household income of catfish farmers is as big as 59,000,833 / year. Household income structure of catfish farmers in Pekanbaru City Rumbai Pesisir District comes from catfish farming and other farming is the business of market traders. Source of household income the highest comes from the income of catfish farming. Household expenditure Catfish farmers consist of expenses, housing, clothing, education, health, recreation. The highest household expenditure is value food expenditure. Significant expenditure factors the household of male fish farmers in the District of Rumbai Pesisir Kota Pekanbaru is household income, including family members and children's education costs school, while household savings and length of education are not significant.
