Abstract

The implementation of Kuantan Singingi Regent Regulation Number 22 of 2016 concerning Position, Organizational Structure, Tasks and Functions as well as Work Procedures of the KuantanSingingi Regency Secretariat by the Public Relations and Protocol Section of the KuantanSingingi District Secretariat was seen in a partnership between the Public Relations and Protocol Section of KuantanSingingi with the Press in neighborhood of KuantanSingingi Regency. In carrying out their daily duties, the KuantanSingingi Public Relations and Protocol Section established good relations with the press to create good news about the activities of the local government and the creation of a positive image of the KuantanSingingi District government. The purpose of this study was to find out and analyze the partnerships between the Public Relations and Protocol Section of the KuantanSingingi Regency Regional Secretariat with the Press in the KuantanSingingi Regency and to find out the obstacles or obstacles in the partnership between the Public Relations and Protocol Section with the press. The results of the research carried out in partnership between the Public Relations and Protocol Section of the KuantanSingingi Protocol and the press were "Good enough". Both parties have established good relationships by carrying out their roles and responsibilities responsibly. But the authors suggest either the KuantanSingingi Public Relations and Protocol Section or the press to maintain good relations and overcome the obstacles faced by deliberation.
