Abstract
Bullying in the school environment can create an unfavorable atmosphere for students development both in the academic field as well as in everyday life. . Based on previous research, one of the causes of increased bullying behavior is authoritarian parenting. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between parenting style with student bullying behavior at SMPN 1 Pangkalan Kuras Sorek. The study population was all students from grade 7, grade 8 and grade 9 in the academic year 2019/2020 with a total sample of 285 persons chosen based on the simple random sampling method. Data were collected using a scale, while the scale used is the scale patterns of parenting and bullying behavior scale. Data were analyzed by using the Spearman test rhank (rho) using SPSS version 20.0 and obtained significance value of 0.000 (Sig.< 0,05), it indicates an acceptable hypothesis, meaning that there is a positive significant relationship between parenting style with bullying behavior.
