Abstract
The smooth operation of a company in marketing its products, requires an appropriate and efficient distribution channel. So that the company can run smoothly and be able to distribute its products to the market or retailers so that it reaches consumers properly, such as the use of NPK fertilizers which affect the agricultural products of farmers. So that a research was carried out on the marketing of NPK fertilizer, and the results showed that; (1) The distribution channel for subsidized fertilizers in Pekanbaru has one distribution channel with five levels, namely: Starting from the Distributor, Retail Agent and Farmer Group (Consumer). (2) The price margin of subsidized fertilizer is 16.39%. 3.) The obstacles faced by rice farmers in obtaining subsidized fertilizers in Pekanbaru are; (1) Prices are still high; (2). Long waiting time; (3). The distance is relatively far, (4) The availability of fertilizer is still insufficient; (5) High transportation costs that must be incurred. So from the results of this study it can be suggested to overcome the existing problems, namely; (1) It is expected that the distribution agency and farmer groups will have a closer relationship, so that the price received by farmers is in accordance with the highest retail price; (2) It is expected that the government through related agencies will continue to monitor and supervise distributors, fertilizer retail agents, and farmer groups regarding the prices received by farmers in buying.
