Abstract
The number of findings of wet noodles containing hazardous substances in the Dupa Market of Pekanbaru City, so that many consumers of wet noodles feel disadvantaged. This study aims to inform consumers of wet noodles to be more vigilant and smarter in buying wet noodles in the market and to inform consumers that the rights and obligations of consumers are in the law and regulated in Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. This research has 2 problems, first, how is the legal protection for consumers against the circulation of wet noodles containing hazardous substances in the second Pekanbaru City Incense Market, how is the responsibility of business actors towards the circulation of wet noodles containing harmful substances in the incense market in Pekanbaru City. This research method is descriptive, namely by using or telling a phenomenon and facts that occur related to consumer protection for wet noodle food at the Dupa Market Pekanbaru City. Meanwhile, the type of this research is survey or observational research where the researcher looks directly at the object being studied using data collection tools in the form of interviews and questionnaires. The results showed that there were still naughty wet noodle business actors at the Dupa Market Pekanbaru City who sold wet noodles containing hazardous substances so that consumers as buyers felt disadvantaged. Efforts to raise awareness of naughty business actors continue to be carried out in order to provide comfort and safety for consumers to consume the wet noodles at the Dupa Market Pekanbaru City
