Abstract
This research aimed to compare the learning outcomes of biology between class applying learning model of Jigsaw I cooperative with class applying learning model of Jigsaw II cooperative using handout in class X of SMAN 11 Pekanbaru, on Environmental Pollution material. The research was conducted from May to June 2015. This research is an experimental research with research design used is to compare the value of the pre-test and post-test. The research sample consisted of two classes X SMAN 11 Pekanbaru, namely class X.5 as the first experiment class applying learning model of Jigsaw I cooperative using handout and class X.8 as the second experiment class applying learning model of Jigsaw II cooperative using handout. The data of student learning outcomes were analyzed using t-test. From the data analysis of that test known that the tcount > ttable, i.e 15,94 > 1,98 with level 5% = 0.05 means that there are differences in the learning outcomes of biology between the two classes. It can be concluded that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. Based on the analysis of descriptive data, we obtained an average post-test learning outcomes of students of the first experimental class (X.5) = 87,94 and second experimental class (X.8) = 89,28. Thus we can conclude that there are differences between the learning outcomes of biology of class applying learning model of Jigsaw I cooperative with class applying learning model of Jigsaw II cooperative using handout in class X of SMAN 11 Pekanbaru academic year 2014/2015.
