Abstract
This study aims to analyze the aesthetic value contained in the Zapin Kampong Bolak dance clothes in Sanggar Citra Sebati, Tembilahan district, Indragiri Hilir district, Riau province. The problem formulation in this study is: How is the aesthetic value contained in the Zapin Kampong Bolak dance clothes? . The theory used to analyze value is the theory of Dharsono Sony Kartika (2004: 3) which says that beauty is basically a number of certain main qualities that exist in something. This study uses qualitative methods that use data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The conclusion of the research shows that the Zapin Kampong Bolak dance dress in Sanggar Citra Sebati is a clothing that is still preserved until now which is used from generation to generation from previous ancestors, using the Riau Malay dress, Kurung Teluk Belange and Kebaya Laboh. Zapin Kampong Bolak dance clothing consists of head clothing, body clothing, and accessories. Zapin Kampong Bolak dance clothing has an aesthetic value contained in it which includes the values of unity, harmony, cohesiveness, balance and resistance. Coupled with clothing accessories/accessories that aim to create eye-catching beauty.
