Abstract

This study aims to determine the creativity of Faizal Andri in creating dance clothes at Sanggar Balai Sanggam Melayu. This study uses the theory of creativity according to Weigner which consists of pearson, product, press, and product dimensions. This research method uses descriptive qualitative analysis using in-depth interviews with research subjects. The results of this study indicate that this activity is carried out to help develop according to potential needs, talents, interest in dance, especially in creating dance clothing. Creativity is an important element in creating new innovations in clothing design. Research findings also show that: The goal of creativity in creating this clothing is an added value that is very influential in developing talents and maintaining the existence of dance by producing unique and interesting works especially in the field of dance fashion. Creativity in creating dance in several dance studios is closely related to the quality of the dancers, the uniformity of the movements performed by the dancers, and the supporters of the dancers' aesthetic values, namely clothing. Clothing and design Clothing is closely related to dancers. The creativity of a choreographer in choosing and making dance clothes can be seen from the process and application or implementation.
