Abstract

This thesis discusses the Twenty One Day Silat Performance in the Tradition of Malay Tribe Culture in Tanjung Medan Village, Tanjung Medan District, Rokan Hilir Regency. Based on the form of the show, there are quite a lot of art elements that make up the structure of a show, including motion, music, floor design, properties, make-up, costumes, lighting and stage. The problem in this research is How is the Twenty One Day Silat Performance in the Tradition of Malay Marriage in Tanjung Medan Village, Tanjung Medan District, Rokan Hilir Regency? The purpose of this research is to know and describe Twenty One Day Silat Performances in the Tradition of Malay Marriage in Tanjung Medan Village, Tanjung Medan District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The theory that the researcher uses is Soedarsono's performance theory. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis, with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study concluded that the Twenty One Day Silat Performance still exists today and is still frequently performed at major events. Silat Dua Puluh Satu Hari has many movements, but only a few silat movements are usually performed at weddings. The movements consist of Greeting, Stabbing 3, Stabbing 4, Stabbing 5, Stabbing Petak, Stabbing Outside, Stabbing Inside, Stating Tingkek Lutuik, Stabbing Tangkok Kotiang, Lower Attacks, Seizing Weapons / Knives, Stabbing Simbu, Attacking and Defending Obek . The musical instruments played in the Silat Dua Puluh Satu Hari performance are Calempong, Ogong and Gondang (Katepak). The costume used was a civet strangled shirt while the properties used were a dagger and plastic rope.
