Abstract

Analyzing drama texts is one of the literary skills that develops students' ability to imagine and think. The skills of analyzing drama texts were learned in the 2013 curriculum in indonesian subjects in high school above, especially in class xi. The study entitled the ability to analyze the structure and language of drama text students in class xi ipa 2 sma negeri 1 kubu in the 2018/2019. The problem in this research is how is the ability of students in analyzing the structure of drama text class xi of sma negeri 01 kubu and how is the ability of students in analyzing the language of drama text of class xi students of sma negeri 01 kubu. The purpose of this study; to collect data and information about the ability of students to analyze the structure and language of class xi drama texts in sma negeri 01 kubu academic year 2018/2019 the data collected is described, analyzed and interpreted in detail and systematically. The population in this study were all students of class xi ipa 2, totaling 29 students. Sampling in this study is a saturated sample technique. The theory used in this study is the theory put forward by endrawsara (2011), hasanuddin (1996) and ismawati (2013). This research uses a descriptive method. This type of research is field research. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation techniques and test techniques. The results showed that the ability to analyze the structure of drama text class xi of sma negeri 01 kubu in the 2018/2019 academic year was categorized as very bad (46.99%) in this case the hipoesis was rejected. While the ability to analyze the language elements of drama text class xi sma negeri 01 kubu in the 2018/2019 academic year is categorized as very bad (48.40%) in this case the hypothesis is rejected.
