Abstract
This study aims to improve the learning process and improve student learning outcomes on trigonometry material in class X IPA-2 SMA Negeri 1 Salo through the application of The Power of Two Strategy. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of two cycles. The subjects of this study were students of class X IPA2 SMA Negeri 1 Salo for the academic year 2018/2019 as many as 20 students consisting of 12 female students and 8 male students. The data collection instruments in this study were observation sheets, guidelines for student learning outcomes, tests and documentation. Data collection techniques in this study were in the form of observation techniques and test techniques. The data analysis technique in this study is data analysis of observations and data analysis of test results. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the learning carried out by teachers and students was getting better and in accordance with the implementation plan of The Power of Two strategy learning. Furthermore, there was an increase in learning outcomes seen from the number of students who achieved the KKM on the basic score there were 8 students (67.2%), in the first daily test there was an increase to 13 students (73.65%) and an increase again to 17 students (79, 8%). Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of The Power of Two strategy in learning in class X IPA2SMA Negeri 1 Salo can improve the learning process and improve student learning outcomes.
