Abstract
Thai Patani students learned Indonesian before lecturing, including the use of conjunctions and there are still many who make mistakes in using conjunctions in essays. Though the use of conjunctions is very important in writing essays. This study is entitled "The Ability to Analyze the Use of Conjunctions of Thai Patani Students in Writing Essays". The problem of this research is how is the ability to analyze the use of Thai Patani student conjunctions in writing essays ?. This study aims to describe, analyze, and interpret the ability to analyze the use of Thai Patani student conjunctions in writing essays. The theory used is the theory of Chaer's theory (2015). The study population was all Thai Patani Students. The method used in this research is the prescriptive method. The technique used is the conservation technique and test technique. The results of data processing can take the following conclusions: The ability to analyze the use of Thai Patani student conjunctions in writing essays totaling 21 students on 15 tests of the use of coordinative conjunctions. Very Good category (80-100) there are 1 person (4.76%), good category (70-81) 1 person (4.76%), good enough category (66-69) 6 people (28.57%), have enough category (56- 65) 2 people (9.52%), categorized as Poor (50-55) there were 5 people (23.80%), categorized as Very Poor (45-49) there were 1 person (4.76%), and the category of Fail ( 44) there were 5 people (23.80%). So it can be concluded the overall results of the study are seen from the acquisition of an average test score of Patani Thai students is 54.59 categorized as Less Biak (50-55).
