Abstract

Based on the researcher's observations, it was found that students were less active in the active process in the teaching and learning process of economics, students did not emphasize the affective and psychomotor aspects, teacher-centered learning, less affective methods, students did not remember learning due to minimal learning resources and did not hear explanations, so the research This study aims to analyze the application of problem solving methods to improve business economics learning outcomes for Class X OTKP 1 Pekanbaru Aviation Management Vocational School. The problem solving method can solve these problems so that students can enjoy and participate in learning well and actively participate in the learning process and improve learning outcomes. This method makes it easier for teachers to implement the right method in learning effectively and efficiently. Data collected by observations, observations, documents and tests. The results of the study were: (1) there was an increase in student learning activities through the application of problem solving methods, (2) an increase in student learning outcomes through the application of problem solving methods, and (3) out of 21 students only 4 students had not completed after carrying out learning activities for two cycles.
