Abstract

Social Culture is the part of human life that is closest to daily life. Every human activity is almost never separated from the Social Culture element. Socio-Cultural Values are reflections of social interactions that contain elements of norms, customs, traditions, ideas, arts and objects created by humans. This study aims to see and find out the extent of the role of the Village Government in the preservation of the Socio-Cultural values of the community in Kebun Lado Village, Singingi Subdistrict, Kuantan Singingi District. In accordance with the problem, the type of research is descriptive and qualitative research methods. This research was conducted in Kebun Lado Village, Singingi District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The reason the researchers took the location of this study based on the phenomenon that the role of the village government in preserving the socio-cultural values of the community in Kebun Lado Village, Singingi Subdistrict, Kuantan Singingi District received little attention from the local village government so that strengthening socio-cultural values as local identities and community life guidelines did not work. well. The results of the research and discussion on the role of the village government in preserving the socio-cultural values of the community in Kebun Lado Village, Singingi Subdistrict, Kuantan Singingi District based on the facts that were apparent during the research, and then continued with the existing theories. The role of the village government in preserving the Socio-Cultural values of the community in the village of Kebun Lado singingi district Kuantan Singingi is only in the form of guidance and implementation that are not planned in an effort to preserve the social and cultural values of the community.
