Abstract

This research is intended to be studied Visual Thinking Learning against mathematical problem solving abilities Grade VIII students of ISLAM ISLAM YLPI Pekanbaru academic year 2018/2019. This research is a study of the Experiment Question (pseudo experiment) Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study population was all VIIISMP classes ISLAM YLPI Pekanbaru. The sample was selected using a saturated sample technique. Class VIII1 selected as class trial with 32 people students and class VIII-2 selected as class control with 31 person students Retrieval of data in this study namely using questions about the pretest and the posttest. Tests are used to see influence Problem solving for students' mathematical problem solving abilities. Based on the results of descriptive statistical analysis and inferential analysis obtained > where = 3.14 and = 1.99. This means being rejected and Acceptable Visual thinking of the ability to solve mathematical problems in grade VIII students ISLAMIC YLPI SMP Pekanbaru.
